Charley Sharkey

Associate Therapist, MACP, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

At 17, Charley had her first experience with therapy. She was struggling with social- phobia and a childhood diagnosis of what we know call ADHD. She experienced first-hand the teasing and singling out that are perpetuated by the stigma of mental illness.

Charley feels incredibly honoured to share in other peoples’ success stories with therapy after having one of her own. A former socially anxious, neurodivergent youth, turned MACP candidate and therapy intern!

Charley truly believes that the unique and "tailored to her" approach that her therapist brought to their sessions was an essential factor to her success in therapy. This is why Charley takes a holistic and individualized approach to her work with clients. Collaboration and creativity between therapist and client is key to the success of therapy.

As a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology graduate from Nipissing University, Charley is proud to call North Bay Ontario home.

Charley has worked in psychology labs and research facilities which sparked her interest in furthering her education with a more hands on approach to the field of mental health.
