Slowing down and reconnecting in a world that often feels so fast and overwhelming is very challenging. Sometimes it even feels impossible. Often we feel we need to control everything around us, when really the work is in learning to stay grounded while the world continues to turn.
In my work, I focus on helping clients get grounded in the present moment—tuning into their bodies, their energy, and their inner wisdom. I believe healing happens through resonance: the subtle but powerful connection between people, animals, and the environment around us.
Whether we’re meeting virtually or walking among the horses, I hold space with curiosity, care, and a deep respect for your process.
Together, we’ll work to realign with what feels true and meaningful to you.

Michaelah’s Credentials & Training
Get to Know Michaelah
Michaelah describes herself as being very much the same person in every aspect of her life. She thrives wearing many different hats. In 2000, Michaelah and her family moved to the farm where she currently sees Equine clients. She and her family have spent countless hours navigating self-discovery, business growth, agriculture, horses, caring for others, alignment, and collaboration… and so much more!
Michaelah’s mother grew up with a horse and inspired Michaelah from a young age. She got her first miniature horse at the age of 4 and learned to train from a very young age, seeking input from a variety of coaches to develop a well-rounded perspective—both of horses and of life! As soon as she was old enough, Michaelah joined the local 4H, thriving in the Canadian Pony Club atmosphere. By the age of 12, she began training and coaching other owners and riders. She founded Robinson Riding Academy and continues to refine her equestrian program. Compassion, understanding, and collaboration have always been a priority for Michaelah, so taking the next step into psychotherapy was natural.
When she is not wearing one of her many ‘farm’ or therapy hats, she is likely playing her piano, embarking on a renovation project, or dreaming up her next great adventure. She is a life-long learner and seeker, and truly lives through supporting others.

What to Expect in Your First Session
Michaelah typically meets new clients virtually prior to greeting them at the family farm for their first in-person, equine-assisted session. In this familiar space, Michaelah and her clients get to know each other one on one, learning about what the client is currently seeking, psychotherapeutic approaches that have or have not worked in the past, and how Michaelah approaches the client’s presenting concerns or hopes for their future. This meeting also provides a great opportunity for Michaelah to share information about the farm and horses, including photos when helpful, to assist clients in knowing what to expect when they arrive for their first visit.
Once at the farm, Michaelah greets clients in the yard and introduces herself and the horses at whatever pace is comfortable for the client. Often, when the weather allows, Michaelah will take clients on a nature walk through empty pasture fields to help with grounding and taking in the surroundings before facilitating the client’s introduction to the horses. There is an arena with a heated tack room on site, offering shelter from the wind, rain, and cold whenever needed. Each therapy horse brings their own personal experience and universal wisdom, attuning with clients in such a way that the experience has often been described as “having five or six therapists available and at the ready.”
